Mary Taylor spent years navigating the complex world of the IT industry, but her heart has always belonged to the wild wonders of the natural world. After retiring, she teamed up with her greatest collaborator—her ten-year-old granddaughter, Lena—to bring the magic of the Amazon Rainforest to life. Inspired by the incredible biodiversity of the Amazon River, Mary and Lena created Fruggles, a tiny hero with a big mission. Whether they are exploring the coast of Myrtle Beach in the summer or dreaming of the jungle, this grandmother-granddaughter duo is dedicated to inspiring a new generation of explorers. When she isn't writing about the miracles of nature, Mary can be found skiing, golfing, or enjoying the sun at the beach, always looking for the next great adventure.

Carol Thomas is an illustrator and painter from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, who now lives in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. After a dedicated career as a legal secretary, she transitioned from the world of fine print to the world of fine art, trading her typewriter for a palette. A proud member of the Oshkosh Fine Arts Association, Carol has refined her technique through intensive workshops with renowned artists such as Joye Moon and Tom Lynch, as well as various contemporary online instructors. While she enjoys the bold versatility of acrylics, her primary passion lies in the delicate transparency of watercolors. Whether wandering through a gallery or studying the masters, she finds her greatest inspiration in the creative energy of others, translating that spark into her own vibrant, evocative works. When Carol isn’t painting you can find her on the golf course, as she is an avid golfer. To view some of Carol’s artwork please see fineartamerica.com
